LIFEGUARD**The Lifeguard position is Seasonal**(Mid-April through Mid-September with hiring and training beginning as early as December)Lifeguards are expected to ensure a safe and fun environment for all park guests while consistently enforcing rules and watching their designated zones of water. Lifeguards are also required to respond in an emergency and provide care within the scope of their training.Minimum Qualifications16 years of age or older; OR 15 years of age with a worker's permitLifeguard certifications from StarGuard EliteSGE Lifeguard Certification can be gained through the City of Collinsville at no cost to the employee. However, employment cannot be provided without certification. Certification must include the ability to pass all in-water skill tests, CPR, and a written test.Flexible scheduling that accommodates mornings, evenings, weekends, and summer holidaysAbility to work effectively with supervisors, staff, and guestsAbility to act quickly, competently, and effectively during emergenciesDependable attendance for regular shifts and in-servicesPreferenceFamiliarity with aquatics, swimming, and/or swim lessons.
