Position: Child Life Specialist Location: Abilene, TX Shifts/Schedule: Days (8a – 4:30pm) | Full-Time What You’ll Do: Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team in meeting the development, psychosocial and intellectual needs of pediatric patients and their families. Implements a therapeutic medical preparation program, and supervises, organizes and directs age-appropriate therapeutic play experiences in order to help alleviate anxiety and provide a sense of normalcy. Orients, trains and supervises students and volunteers assigned to the unit.  Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree 1-year of previous experience working as a Child Life Specialist CPR-BCLS Certification  Child Life Professional Certification - required prior to hire  Additional Requirements: Child Life, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology or related fields. Ability to handle confidential information. Maintains professional appearance at all times.  Compensation & Benefits: Pay rate range: Min $24/hr. – Max $30/hr.
