IMEG is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team We are currently seeking a Senior Surveyor 1 in our .As a Senior Surveyor 1 you will provide leadership in the daily operations of survey activities including construction layout, boundary, topographic, and as built surveys. The Senior Surveyor will be responsible for providing production surveying duties, applying diversified knowledge of principles and practices in areas of land surveying related fields, and providing surveying assistance under leadership from a Senior Land Surveyor. The Senior Surveyor will also be responsible for calculations and surveying judgment based on surveying experience, documented practices, systems, and examples which will be reviewed by a Senior Land Surveyor.Some key duties and responsibilities include: Perform complex survey duties associated with construction stakeout and boundary, topographic, and as built surveysResearch historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title reportsComplete boundary reductions, boundary determinations, and mapping/topographic field reductions in CAD/survey softwareResponsible to maintain, and verify accuracy of project survey data and manage to company standards survey database. Review survey production and final products, processed data collection, and field notes for quality control. Proficiency with survey computations, staking/control exhibits, and survey crew instructions for construction staking and field survey projectsKnowledge for the operation and assistance of operation of GPS equipment, total stations, levels, data collectors and other survey equipmentSupervise CAD Techs in preparing plans and plats describing in detail the surveys performedAdvance the professional and productive working relationships with all clients and coworkersPrepare proposals, scopes of work, schedules, budgetsMentor and assist in training junior staff membersOperate a company vehicleObserve safety and security proceduresKey skills and abilities needed for the position are:Advanced knowledge of land surveying operations, computations, principles and practices.Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering plans and construction documentsKnowledge and ability to effectively deal with public and governmental agencies, manage field crews, and schedule equipment and suppliesProficient in on-site office operation, office workflow processes and problem-solving techniquesAdvanced understanding of survey operations and identification of potential problemsProficient with AutoCAD C3D, survey, GPS, MS Office softwareAdvanced problem solving techniquesProven people management and leadership capabilitiesPossesses oral and written communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate with clients, officials, contractors, coworkers and professionally represent IMEGTravel may be requiredValid driver’s license with ability to be insured by IMEG carrierEducation and experience requirements are:Bachelor of Science or Associates Degree preferredLS required8+ years of experienceIMEG, an employee-owned corporation, is committed to investing in employees’ futures through professional development programs and opportunities for career advancement.
