About Community Health Programs: Area Health Education CenterPosition Summary:TheIntermittent Mobile Health Unit Driveroperates, maintain, and safely drive Community Health Programs (CHP) mobile health units to outreach sites within a multi-county region, complying with federal, state, and local laws. Must have excellent customer service, organizational, written and verbal communication, and time management skills. Typing skills are required along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Must be able to interact professionally with staff, patients, and community partners. Review and plan routes in advance of Heritage Community Clinic community outreach health clinics. Operate mobile unit in a safe manner which complies with federal, state, and local laws. Ensure safety during events, including safe entry, parking, and exit of the mobile unit. Ensure completion of mobile health unit task checklist at all clinics and events. Communicate with appropriate clinical staff via e-mail to share information related to clinic schedules and travel. Perform setup of Community Health Programs mobile health units at scheduled locations. This includes completion of the mobile health unit task checklist at all clinics and events (pre- and post-trip), setup of the truck, cleaning, emptying trash and biohazard waste, monitoring parking and storage environment of mobile health units. Assist patients/visitors with safe entry and exit on the mobile unit. Assist with administrative support and operations of clinic as warranted, including but not limited to greeting and registering patients, filing, assisting patients with form completion, making copies, and other duties as assigned. Maintain accurate written and electronic records of mobile health unit mileage and clinic locations, pre- and post-trip forms, daily vehicle usage log, AED safety log, fire extinguisher logs, and maintenance logs. Maintain all DOT and vehicle logs as required by law and all company documents. Intermittently collaborates as a team member with the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and Community Health Programs, including participation in staff meetings and involvement in departmental projects or activities as needed. Position Profile Monitors campus transportation and parking activities and compliance with established policies. Responsible for overseeing permit parking, parking enforcement, event transportation, business transportation, campus transit service, safety and training, and facility and operations maintenance. Level Summary Applies technical or process knowledge; requires capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge. May supervise or oversee the work of student employees. Supervisory Responsibilities No formal supervisory responsibilities. May guide or mentor student employees. Fiscal Responsibilities No budgetary responsibility. May be responsible for validating transactions. Problem Solving Resolves moderately complex issues using established policies and procedures. Independence of Action Some level of autonomy to handle issues without direct supervision. Communication and Collaboration Communicates with internal teams and customers. May communicate with external vendors. May provide technical guidance to junior staff. Physical Requirements This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs. Minimum Qualifications Intermediate knowledge of job functions, requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years of experience. Certain positions may require Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).Must pass FBI/BCI background check. Preferred Qualifications Valid Ohio driver’s license CDL with minimum Class B Air Brake Certification Ability to pass an FBI/BCI enhanced background check to organization’s standards 3-5 years experience Basic computer skills in order to be responsible for reading, completing forms, scheduling, and data reporting Department HCOM - Community Health Programs
