Senior Bridge Engineer

Our client in Rochester, NY is seeking a direct hire Senior Bridge Engineer.Salary: $100k-135K DOEResponsibilities:Project management and engineering, from conception to completion, including proposal preparation, design and construction documents, and construction administration under the guidance of senior managersPrepare calculations and design documents including the assembly of plans and specifications for public advertisement and biddingDevelop contract specifications and preparation of contract bid documentsReview design criteria using relevant codes and standardsPerform and review calculations using various software and/or hand calculationsReview and provide Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) for project engineering deliverablesDevelop and supervise the preparation of cost estimates for construction documentsQualifications:BS Civil EngineeringNew York State Professional Engineer (PE) required10 or more years of experience related to bridge engineering design and managementMust have preliminary and final design and plan production experienceBridge load rating experience is a plusExperience and familiarity with computer drafting and structural analysis softwareA sound knowledge of AASHTO and NYSDOT Standard SpecificationsKnowledge of NYSDOT’s Locally Administered Federal Aid project process for highway and bridge projects a plusGood writing and strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team to execute tasks in order to complete projects on time and budgetOur client offers an amazing benefits package that includes medical, dental, 401k and 401K match, PTO, life insurance, and cost savings accounts.
