Job Summary

Lead the Enterprise in coordinating with stakeholders to identify, recommend, and implement improved workflows, methods, and processes to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness. This role will adhere to the GS Business Optimization standardized process and oversee the new cross-functional Business Optimization Badging program, providing guidance to 5-6 individuals in implementing research and improvement recommendations.

What You'll Do

Implement Business Optimization projects:

Act as a catalyst for change, fostering collaboration among stakeholders.

Proficiently visualize process mapping.

Conduct thorough research and engage with all stakeholders involved in processes.

Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to identify opportunities for waste reduction, value addition, and qualitative and quantitative improvements.

Formulate recommendations based on analysis.

Drive testing and adapt recommendations, as necessary.

Mobilize participation to implement changes.

Effectively prioritize multiple projects.

Demonstrate effective communication skills across all organizational levels.

Lead the Business Optimization Badging Program:

Lead a team of individuals, providing mentorship and guidance.

Develop training materials for the Badging Program.

Make timely decisions to facilitate project progress.

Take ownership of shaping the Badging Program for optimal performance.

Collaborate with customers to maintain high performance standards.
 

Work within Business Intelligence Leadership Team:

Contribute to thought leadership.

Collaborate on creative problem-solving.

Support the service model of analytics, data governance, and optimization to empower others to make data-driven decisions.

Continuously seek opportunities for improvement.

While this position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, it indirectly leads and manages cross-functional teams. This position may eventually be considered for a managerial role, providing a pathway for lateral career advancement within our organization.

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree required.

Extensive knowledge of Business Optimization philosophies or certifications.

Combination of 10+ years of relevant, progressive work experience and education highly preferred.

Proven track record of implementing process improvements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to strategize solutions for complex operational issues.

Leadership aptitude.

Collaborative and adept at maximizing team performance.

Experience in mentoring.

Proficiency in MS Office and adept at learning GuideStone system applications.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
