Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our growing Urgent Care team in Hamilton, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical foundation, sound judgment, and the ability to practice semi-autonomously while collaborating with an experienced team of physicians and advanced practice providers. This role offers a balanced and supportive environment with both in-person and telemedicine visits, competitive compensation, and meaningful opportunities for growth as the practice expands into new locations. Schedule & Workload 40 clinical hours per week, seeing both in-office and telemedicine patients Flexible schedule of 8 to 10-hour weekday shifts One Saturday every 4 to 6 weeks from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Average three patients per hour, approximately 15 to 20 minutes per visit No call responsibilities Key Responsibilities Perform common urgent care procedures independently, including: Laceration repair Abscess incision and drainage Fluorescein exams Splinting, paronychia drainage, and digital nerve blocks Evaluate and manage acute illness and injury across all age groups Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinicians to ensure continuity of care Document efficiently using M-Modal dictation with optional scribe support based on volume Provide compassionate, patient-centered care both in-office and via telehealth Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine Active New Jersey PA License, CDS, and DEA Strong procedural competency and diagnostic confidence Private practice experience preferred Excellent bedside and webside manner Strong technology and EMR proficiency Leadership mindset with ability to operate semi-autonomously while knowing when to collaborate Must pass background, reference, and malpractice checks Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary with performance-based bonus Health, vision, dental, and life insurance 401(k) retirement plan 3 weeks PTO $1,000 CME allowance plus reimbursement for licensure and certifications Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Supportive work culture with scribes, medical assistants, and strong provider leadership What Makes This Role Unique Team-Oriented Culture: Colleagues step in to help when volume spikes, fostering genuine collaboration Reduced Administrative Burden: Dedicated MAs and scribes handle orders, documentation, and follow-ups On-Site Support: Multiple physicians and senior PAs/NPs are always available for consultation Leadership Pathways: Opportunities to grow as the practice expands to new clinics Integrated Model: Seamless coordination between primary and urgent care ensures patients receive continuous, connected care
