Development Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES: Conceptualize, design, and develop power connector solutions as required by the BU strategic roadmap and new business opportunities. Work with Front-end team and customers to define product/application requirements. Lead product design reviews and create and communicate technical presentations. Develop testing programs to ensure products work per design intent. Present product concepts to customers early in development cycle, interpret feedback, and incorporate any revised requirements into the design. Define Product, Application, and Packaging specifications. Define a verification and product qualification test plans. Work closely with NPI and manufacturing engineering to ensure products are transitioned to the manufacturing QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering 5+ years' experience Experience in connector design Proficient in 3D modeling using Solidworks General understanding of drawing standards such as ASME Y14.5. Excellent understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Ability to communicate well with Global Customers and all levels of the organization including Management, Marketing, Sales, Process Engineering, Test Lab personnel, other Engineers (local and global). Ability to prioritize, work to meet objectives and to manage multiple activities/projects simultaneously. ANSYS or other FEA simulation experience
