Overview Baristas perform several job duties and provide customer service. Baristas take orders and make coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications. Baristas also operate cash registers and credit card machines Responsibilities Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds Ability to stand during entire shift.Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision workMaintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with fellow associates and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.Must be able to multitask and prioritize to ensure outstanding service.Approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.Maintain high standards of personal appearance, uniform and grooming.Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.Perform other duties as requested by management. Qualifications Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
