Duties Description 1. Supervise day to day activities of Environmental Program Specialist 1/Trainee. Provide clear direction to staff regarding assigned responsibilities and priorities. 2. Oversee and coordinate compliance and enforcement activities. Provide technical guidance and direction to program staff on addressing compliance issues. Prepare enforcement referrals consistent with Regional and DAR policies and initiatives. 3. Provide regulatory oversight for facilities that emit regulated pollutants. This involves site inspections, document reviews, permit writing and complaint responses. 4. Perform administrative duties regarding time and attendance, travel, equipment usage, and performance evaluations; and ensure compliance with related Department and Program guidance and policies, including health & safety. Minimum Qualifications Reassignment - Currently in the title and an employee of DECORReinstatement Eligible - Previously held the title on a permanent competitive basis or held a title as indicated under the transfer eligible section on a permanent competitive basis.ORTransfer Eligible: One year of permanent competitive service at Salary Grade 21 or higher AND:Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1: One year of permanent competitive service as a Climate Policy Analyst 2, Environmental Analyst 2, Environmental Radiation Specialist 2, Environmental Specialist 2, Forester 2, Public Participation Specialist 2, Public Participation Specialist 3, Sanitary Construction Inspector 3.
