What you will do in the Director, Trade Show & Events role at Kyruus:Your typical day will include serving as the face of events at Kyruus, owning and leading strategic event plans and execution.You’ll also serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on Kyruus’ total events program, keeping up to date on best practices to maximize effectiveness and spend.You’ll own the strategy, planning, and execution of the Annual Thought Leadership on Access Symposium (“ATLAS”) and any related brand-level customer or prospect forums.You’ll partner with the People team on brand awareness for recruiting-related employer event activities.You’ll partner with broader Marketing team leaders to ensure event related tactics (e.g., PR / media relations, customer speaking engagements, Kyruus executive communications) are aligned with brand and event strategies.You’ll identify white spaces and emerging opportunities for brand growth and awareness through event experiences.You’ll be responsible for owning event-related budget planning and tracking.You’ll spearhead Salesforce lead tracking and reporting related to events.You’ll regularly leverage Hubspot, Salesforce, Asana, and/or other brand, event, sales enablement, and/or field tools.You’ll report to the Senior Vice President, Marketing in the Event Marketing department within the Marketing division.How You’ll Use Your Leadership and Management Skills To:You’ll use your 16+ years experience in event marketing to:Drive vision and execution across all Kyruus-hosted and industry eventsWork with sales leadership, broader sales team, and BDR(s) to optimize pre-event outreach, lead capture at events, and post-event follow-up.Spearhead strategy for customer speaking submissions for events.Serve as the lead for any process optimization as it relates to events.Manage Executives for executive-level events and speaking opportunities.Engage with Kyruus customers and partners for joint events and ATLAS sponsorship opportunities.Leverage your team to get things done, get them done well, and celebrate them when they do.You’ll mentor and provide guidance to direct reports and work together to ensure development opportunities and growth at Kyruus.Lead additional strategic initiatives for the company as needs arise.Connect critical business goals to the goals of each of your direct reports.Create an inclusive environment where your direct reports and peers feel motivated to succeed.Hold yourself and your team accountable to tracking progress against quarterly and annual goals and regularly report on brand and event ROI, including synthesizing complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using quantitative and qualitative methods and storytelling.How You’ll Know You’re Succeeding:You successfully plan and execute the events strategy for Kyruus in close partnership with marketing, sales, and broader executive leadership.You consistently meet or exceed goals set for events, both tradeshows and ATLAS, and demonstrate meaningful impact on the Kyruus pipeline through reporting.You own marketing and strategizing on tradeshows and conferences that Kyruus attends, exhibits, or sponsors in order to generate market qualified leads.You generate future event opportunities for Kyruus and bring new ideas to the table for expanding the events program and/or raising the bar on existing events.You’ve successfully engaged current customers for speaking opportunities at industry conferences and ATLAS.Where You’ll Go From Here:Kyruuvians in the Director, Trade Show & Events role can move in a more linear career path to a Senior Director, Trade Show & Events position (overseeing larger teams/product portfolios) and, from there, into a possible VP-level position overseeing multiple functions within marketing.Kyruus also loves to see an internal transfer.
