Ability to use any maintenance/repair manual, parts catalog and maintenance software.Communicate with manufacturer representatives concerning repairs, parts and diagnostic equipment.Serve as team lead worker when assigned.Ability to crawl under buses, stretch and lift heavy objects up to 50lbs.Disassemble and perform partial or complete overhauls as necessary (Diesel, CNG and Gasoline combustion engines).Diesel Mechanic must have a high school diploma or equivalent.QualificationsWorking knowledge of engines, transmissions, differentials and other assemblies.Comprehensive knowledge of how braking systems (hydraulic and air) work on a variety of vehicles.Have complete working knowledge of HVAC systems on a variety of vehicles (certification).Comprehensive working knowledge of suspension systems.Working knowledge and experience with electronics systems.Working knowledge and experience with air systems.Working knowledge and experience with ADA vehicle operations.Possess, or ability to possess Class B license within six months. 4 or more years of experience working as a diesel mechanic. Evidence of satisfactory completion of advanced classes on all major vehicle models in the fleet, and ability to maintained training requirements as required.Bauer’s Transportation is an equal opportunity employer.
