We are looking to hire an ambitious individual to serve as the Activities/ Recreation Coordinator for our assisted living facility in Tuxedo NY. This dynamic position requires an ambitious individual to manage the recreational aspects of an assisted living community. The Activities/ Recreation Coordinator will assist in creating/providing appropriate social activities for the adult home’s Assisted Living residents. The Activities Assistant assists with: Creating a monthly activity calendar for residents; Implementing recreation activities that are scheduled on the monthly activity calendar; Coordinating appropriate entertainment from the community for the residents; Engaging and motivating residents to partake in daily social, physical and cognitive activities as planned; Maintaining records of all activities and resident participation levels of each activity; Purchasing appropriate arts, crafts and supplies for scheduled activities; Planning, organizing and scheduling diversified and stimulating activities with sufficient supervision as necessary; Implementing programs to enlist volunteers within community to aid in resident and assisted living facility activities for all departments; Implementing and managing a voluteer program for the assisted living program; Covering front desk as needed; Performing other duties as needed and/or assigned. This person also provides residents with planned community outings, and during resident special events/holiday celebrations. He/she will also update the orientation boards in both living areas on a daily basis. This is a full-time position. Must be able to work weekends and Holidays
