Class A CDL Delivery Driver

Job Description:Responsible for the safe operation of company equipment and timely, courteous delivery of product to our customers.Essential Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:Safely and professionally operate a commercial motor vehicleMust be at least 18 years of ageMaintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Maintain an acceptable driving record based on established company guidelinesMaintain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate as required by lawBe able to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a continual basis and up to 170 lbs.Must be able to pass a pre-hire and random drug testPunctuality and regular attendanceUse of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as an electric pallet jack, hand truck, U-boat and/or hydraulic trailer lift gateManeuver vehicle and equipment in congested areas with limited space and potential obstaclesUnload and deliver products to customers utilizing various methodologies that may include manual conveyors, carts, or pallets in multi-temperature environmentsReach above and below shoulder level, climb, crouch, stoop, push, pull and work in confined and uneven spacesProvide exceptional customer service to consumers and store personnelAdditional Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:Accurate and timely completion of paperwork, included but not limited to, checking in and out inventory on trucks, sales invoices, accounting, reconciling total cash and sales with invoices, and properly documenting and handling damaged products.Collect company assets to include payments, carts, pallets, returned products, etc.Complete pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment and vehicleResponsible for maintenance and servicing of assigned delivery trucks; including checking fuel, oil, water and cleanliness of vehicle, etc.Proper stock rotation in outlets and action for any over-aged products discovered on the routeEffectively communicate and maintain contact with supervisor, co-workers and customersPresent a professional public image and maintain a positive attitude that reflects favorably on the company Physical Demands and Work Environment:Frequent pushing, pulling and lifting of heavy objectsManual dexterity, body coordination, and mobility requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracyPosition is non-stationary for approximately 90% of the timeWalking and standing for long periods of timeMust be able to work at a fast pace with accuracyWhat we can offer you:A dedicated local route, Be HOME every dayTruck is loaded for you at the start of the dayAutomatic Fleet No ramps and no down stacking off the truckFull Benefit Package after 6 months of employmentPaid Time off after 6 months of employment401k plan at 6 month anniversary with 50% company matchRegular Company cookoutsFamily Oriented CompanyFamily friendly events (at least 2 per year)Christmas/Holiday Party and giftsDiscounted product (alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages)
