PM Mechanic

Job Description CCI is looking for a PM Mechanic The PM Mechanic position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and incidental repairs in the Company and Client vehicles and equipment. Mechanics may design and fabricate equipment modifications to set standards per request. Ensure that the successful delivery of the Overhaul Department workforce’s day to day activities and are in accordance with CCI Industrial Services safety standards and are in compliance with specification set by the client. Work with and supervise a crew of 8 to 10 workers. Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly. Facilitating or participating in CCI safety meetings, work safely and maintain a safe work environment as an employee and representative of Willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur. Maintain and demonstrate proficient working knowledge of all response-related equipment, policies, procedures and tactics at all times. Welding and metal fabrication as needed. Attend and participate in required meetings, training, and exercises. Perform other duties as required. Self-directed with minimal supervision. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work well with others in an environment that includes harsh weather conditions, remote locations. Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language. Skilled in interpersonal communication. Ability to work closely in a small shop Skilled in commercial pressure washer diagnostic. Basic computer knowledge, including the ability to take online training, email general reports and use Microsoft Requirements Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required. 5 years' experience working as a mechanic with automotive or heavy equipment is required. Experience with internal engine work and diagnostic scan tools is required. Current NSTC card A valid driver's license is required. Preferred Qualifications: Automotive certifications are preferred. 3 years Ford truck experience is preferred. 2 years Loader Operator Experience is preferred Webasto Heater diagnostic skills is preferred. Previous welding experience is preferred. CDL License is preferred. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Flexibility regarding hours of work is required as needed to meet demands of the job. Position may be reassigned at any time to meet operational objectives. Position may be exposed to extremely hostile weather conditions at times while working outdoors.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at the construction site. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and wastes. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet. Shoveling up to 20 lbs. Frequent walking and standing. Occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching. HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms. VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man. LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 30 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet. RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
