Facilities Technician III

Job Summary Under minimal supervision, perform preventative maintenance programs, emergency repairs, maintenance work orders and Environment of Care (EOC) & Life Safety (LS) rounds. The ultimate goal of this position is to keep facility and surrounding campus in Constant Survey Readiness. Will be assigned duties based on primary geographical location.Essential Functions:Daily EOC and LS walks in assigned areas to identify areas of improvement. (20%)Affect repairs to ensure assigned area meets EOC and LS standards. (10%)Perform a variety of routine and emergency repairs and preventative maintenance to hospital buildings, community clinics, equipment, furnishings, fixtures, and grounds, keeping all areas in proper condition as directed. (10%)Finishes: Maintain and repair floor and wall and ceiling covering (e.g. tiles, carpeting, paint, signs). (10%)Provide general assistance to skilled tradesmen such as mechanics, electricians, carpenters, plumbers, painters, etc, as directed. (10%)Electrical: Remove and replace duplux outlets and switches. Maintain and service lighting, bulbs and ballasts. (10%)Plumbing: Service of plumbing fixtures, faucets, toilets and drains.
