Hologic is seeking a Manager, Environmental Health & Safety to join the team in Newark, DE. The Manager, EH&S will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring EH&S programs at assigned facilities under the direction of the Chief Security Officer/Global Head, EHS. What to expect: Performance Management, Employee Development, and Cultural Leadership Set and Oversee SMART Goals: Establish and manage SMART goals for the team to drive continuous improvement and align with organizational objectives. Employee Development and Training: Identify skill gaps and provide targeted training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities, incorporate into SMART goals. Coaching and Mentorship: Provide guidance, support, and feedback to team members, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment. Drive Engagement and Foster a Quality Culture: Promote quality initiatives, integrate quality standards and standard work into all business aspects, and recognize contributions to quality improvements. Primary Duties & Responsibilities  Responsible for managing all activities performed by EH&S staff at assigned facilities. Assists in the development and management of EH&S department goals and budgets. Assists in the development and implementation of corporate EH&S policies and programs, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international rules and regulations. Champions, manages and implements corporate EH&S and sustainability initiatives at a Regional level, ensuring understanding and partnership from direct stakeholders. Maintain communication with key stakeholders, liaise with regulatory authorities, monitor EH&S metrics and performance, while providing support and advice to operational teams at all business levels. Support Emergency Response, Business Continuity and Sustainability initiatives and processes. Plans, coordinates and oversees safety & evacuation drills. Provides and coordinates emergency response both during and after business hours. Follows up to ensure deficiencies are corrected timely. Oversees the maintenance of EH&S files, manifests, and records. Compiles case studies and analyses of industrial accident causes and hazards to health for use as reference material by company personnel. Administration and management of the company’s workers’ compensation program for US operations as related to their assigned facilities Advises HR on employee relations issues concerning accommodation for disabilities and fitness for duty. Plans and executes EH&S compliance audits to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure ongoing compliance with governing regulations; recommends, coordinates, and tracks implementation of corrective actions and preventive measures.  Manages the investigations of unsafe conditions, industrial incidents and accidents, gathering and analysis of accident data, development and distribution of accident investigation reports, and preparation and submission of reports and associated data required by regulatory agencies; develops proactive solutions and tracks implementation of corrective actions Manages the Region’s ergonomic program, conducting and overseeing ergonomic evaluations and follow-up actions. Provides support and guidance to departments and regional sites on complex EH&S related issues. Maintains liaison with various government agencies and keeps abreast of new developments and regulations Participates as an active member of the Global EHS Leadership Team (EHS LT) Supports other Supply Chain operations with EHS program implementation and compliance as requested/directed What we expect: Lead, mentor, and supervise the local EHS team, providing clear direction, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across all levels of the organization. Set performance goals for EHS staff, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback. Develop and deliver training programs to ensure staff understand and comply with EHS policies, procedures, and regulations. Collaborate continuously with department heads and senior management to integrate EHS initiatives into business operations and strategic planning. Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and encouraging innovative solutions. Ensure effective and proactive communication of EHS objectives, initiatives, and changes throughout the organization. Investigate - and/or evaluate investigations by team members - regarding incidents and near-misses, leading root cause analyses and ensuring corrective actions are implemented. Model exemplary leadership by demonstrating integrity, accountability, and a commitment to the organization’s EHS goals. Qualifications  Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required.  Master’s degree desirable. 7-10 years of related experience preferred, preferably in a corporate environment. Experience working in ISO-certified businesses (i.e., ISO 45001 and ISO 14001). Current professional certification from recognized EHS entities preferred (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.). Physical Demands The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  ☒ Sit; use tools, or controls. ☒ Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. ☒ Lifting/pushing/pulling and carrying products weighing up to 45 pounds. ☒ Potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration and/or moderate noise levels. ☒ Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials. ☒ Safety Shoes compliant with site specific policies/procedures must be worn in designated areas ☒ Potential exposure to blood. The annualized base salary range for this role is $97,300 to $145,400 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand..
