Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Detroit, MI Pay Range: $55,000 – $70,000 per year Schedule: Full-time | Onsite Job Summary We are hiring an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support a busy, operationally driven organization. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable and will also support process improvements, cost controls, and efficiency initiatives. The right person is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and timely Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies Assist with audits and reporting requests Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings Partner with purchasing, operations, and finance teams on AP-related projects Qualifications 3–5 years of accounts payable experience Experience in a fast-paced or operations-focused environment Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems Solid Excel skills High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Preferred Experience in a manufacturing or operational environment Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, or similar Why Consider This Role Stable, hands-on accounting role Opportunity to contribute beyond transactional AP work Environment that values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
