Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is now hiring Caregivers, Home Health Aides (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Personal Care Aides (PCA), and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical in-home care for clients in Crown Point, Indiana. We are looking for reliable, compassionate, and experienced caregivers who want to make a difference by helping seniors remain safe and independent at home. Flexible Schedules Available We offer Days, Evenings, Overnights, Weekends, PRN, and After-School shifts. You choose the schedule that works best for you. Job Responsibilities Caregivers may provide: Personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding) Mobility and transfer support (walker, wheelchair, gait belt) Companionship and conversation Meal preparation and assistance with eating Light housekeeping, laundry, and home organization Transportation to appointments, errands, and activities Medication reminders (no medication administration) Dementia and Alzheimer’s care Monitoring, reporting, and documenting changes in client condition Maintaining a clean and safe home environment Pay & Benefits $14–$16 per hour (based on experience and client needs) Direct Deposit + TapCheck option Mileage reimbursement Holiday pay and overtime pay Paid training, including Dementia/Alzheimer’s training Paid orientation Supportive office staff available 24/7 Caregiver Requirements Able to work in Lake County and Porter County, IN Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation Ability to pass a criminal background check Current TB test or willingness to obtain one Current CPR certification or willing to complete Dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy Experience as a Caregiver, CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Assistant preferred We Are Hiring Now We review applications daily and are looking for caregivers who are ready to start soon.
