Job Description As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Financial Site in Saint Johns, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.58 / Hour Job Schedule:DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 05:00 PMTue08:00 AM - 05:00 PMWed08:00 AM - 05:00 PMThur08:00 AM - 05:00 PMWhy Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do:Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.Monitor access points and observe for suspicious behaviors or potential security-related concerns within the location.Document incidents and maintain detailed reports of patrols, observations, and interactions as required by site protocols.Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following established communication procedures.Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and clients within the financial institution environment.Minimum Requirements:Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.Possess an armed guard card or license.Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
