Job Title: Packaging Machine Operator Duration: 12 months + (Contract to Hire) Location: Mount Vernon Ohio 43050 Schedule: (Working Days and Shift Start/End Time) Nights (12 hour shift, 6:00pm 6:00am) 2-2-3 schedule Job Description: The Packaging Operator I role is the entry level role at the Mt. Vernon facility. This role is responsible for packaging, cleaning, and relieving for breaks. This role will primarily work in the production area. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Spotting out-bound trucks into material load docks, ensuring dock-locks Reclaiming off-quality Unbonded Loose fill and refeeding the material to the forehearth Packaging operator placing bags on bagger equipment snouts ensuring proper packaging of finished goods material Performs general cleanup duties in designated areas (including, but not limited to, sweeping floor, blowing down the line/robot, cleaning break rooms, etc.). Assist with Preventative Maintenance processes Perform special needs as determined by plant staff Participates in safety and housekeeping programs as established within the plant. Start Details: Site will require 24 hours to coordinate start. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to ensure the site can get you checked in and to the designated location. Upon arriving at the site, if the gate is closed, you will need to press the call button in order for the gate to be opened. Please park in the visitor parking, enter the building through the main door and complete the sign in process. Dress Code: Steel Toed Boots (not reimbursable) Business partners are expected to maintain an appearance that is appropriate, neat and clean, as determined by the requirements of the work area. Dress and appearance should not be offensive to customers or other business partners. Please adhere to the following, in particular when in a manufacturing area: No shorts, halter tops, or cut-off T-shirts No open toe/heel shoes or high heels in plant No extremely loose clothing No dangling jewelry PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 3 years manufacturing experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must be able to read, write, and speak English Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions Must possess strong communication and organizational skills Must have the ability to multi-task Must have strong internal and external customer service skills Must work well in team environment Must be able to work independently Must have to ability to do intermediate mathematical calculations
