Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and hard-working Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Dundee MI Hotel, part of VP Management's hospitality portfolio.As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel by maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the building, equipment, and guest rooms.This is a full-time, individual contributor role located in Dundee, Michigan.Compensation & Benefits:- Competitive salary- Opportunities for growth and advancement within VP Management's portfolio- Discounted rates at our hotels for friends and family- Complimentary meals during shift hours`Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities including guest rooms, common areas, and equipment- Complete work orders and conduct preventative maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner- Troubleshoot and respond to guest requests and concerns in a courteous and professional manner- Ensure that all maintenance issues are resolved quickly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction- Perform regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify and repair any potential issues- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory- Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities, prioritize tasks, and minimize disruptions to guests- Adhere to all safety and security procedures and report any safety hazards or concerns to management- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing VP Management and the Dundee MI Hotel to guests and fellow team membersRequirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- At least 1 year of experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively- Excellent communication and customer service skills- Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededEEOC Statement:VP Management and the Dundee MI Hotel are equal opportunity employers and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.VP Management and the Dundee MI Hotel comply with applicable state and local laws governing non-discrimination in employment in every location in which the company has facilities.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including, but not limited to, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.VP Management and the Dundee MI Hotel are committed to providing a work environment free from discrimination and harassment, and where employees are treated with respect and dignity.
