Responsibilities
- Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
- Inspects vehicle for safety and maintenance needs such as worn brakes or tires.
- Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
- Provides an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Obtains certifications and training expectations from Ford Motor Company
- Provides detailed documentation on repair order to claim warranty properly from Ford
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Service Technician
- Understanding of and ability to repair large trucks and diesel powertrain
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
- Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
- Ability to learn quickly and provide top-notch customer service
- Basic Computer Skills
- Great teammate
- Clean and valid driver's license
- Ensures that customer's cars are kept clean
- Maintain stall in an orderly and clean manner
- Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures and specifications
