Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.Job SummaryHoly Spirit Catholic Church is seeking a mission-driven and detail-oriented Business Manager to oversee the administrative, financial, and operational functions of the parish. Working closely with the Pastor, this individual plays a key leadership role in supporting the spiritual and temporal mission of the parish through effective management of finances, human resources, facilities, and parish operations.Job ResponsibilitiesFinancial ManagementPrepare, oversee, and manage the annual parish and school budgets in collaboration with the Pastor and Finance CouncilMaintain accurate financial records, oversee bookkeeping, and ensure timely reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsProcess payroll and manage accounts payable and receivableEnsure compliance with Archdiocesan financial policies, internal controls, and external audit requirementsOversee stewardship and offertory processing, and support fundraising effortsHuman ResourcesManage HR functions including hiring, onboarding, employee records, and benefits administrationEnsure compliance with Archdiocesan HR policies and Safe Environment requirementsSupervise administrative and support staffFacilities & OperationsCoordinate maintenance, repair, and usage of parish facilities and equipmentOversee vendor contracts, insurance coverage, and risk management proceduresManage inventory, supplies, and general office operationsAdministrative LeadershipServe as a key member of the parish leadership team and support strategic planning and communicationAttend parish council, finance council, and staff meetings as neededWork collaboratively with school administration if applicableJob RequirementsPracticing Catholic in good standing with a strong commitment to the mission of the ChurchBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fieldMinimum of 3–5 years of experience in business or nonprofit management, preferably in a parish or school settingProficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and general accounting softwareStrong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information with discretion, and manage multiple prioritiesThe Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
