OverviewResponsible for a wide variety of accounting duties which include preparation of documentation, maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciliations, reporting, auditing, and account-level analysis. Subject matter expert regarding GAAP Accounting. Supports intercompany eliminations as appropriate by reconciling and confirming intercompany balances. With over 35,000 employees and 400 offices nationwide, we provide flexibility and career growth in dynamic work environments.  ResponsibilitiesUnderstand SOX guidelines to ensure accurate controls and segregation of duties are in place to meet complianceAnalyze, troubleshoot and reconcile various general ledger accountsPrepare journal entries and corrective entries as neededPrepare month-end work papersPerform account reconciliationsAssists various departments in accounting related functionsObtain and organize information for internal and external auditsExecute special financial or operational projects as neededRecommend solutions for a more efficient and streamlined accounting processAssist supervisors with preparation of reports, business correspondence and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Cross trained to serve as backup for department leadership as neededCollect and analyze financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting regulations and guidelinesResearch accounting rules and regulations and make recommendations regarding company policyMay provide support and assistance to external auditorsUnderstand and maintain confidential informationVarious other accounting duties as assigned by management QualificationsEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related areaMinimum 5 years’ experience in accountingAudit experience Experience in the EPC/construction industry preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED: Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working to the company’s Zero Injury principlesStrong computer skills, specifically in Enterprise Resource Planning software and Microsoft Excel.
