Summary

This Quality Control Inspector's primary responsibility is to conduct thorough vehicle inspections in order to ensure vehicle quality standards are maintained. Includes audit of the quality of GLOVIS services such as - under body coat applications, vehicle processing operations, PIO part installations, load line processes, export processes, body shop repairs and rail loading.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Primary

Perform new vehicle audits-

Must be able to audit the quality of all GLOVIS services and have the ability to detect minor vehicle issues. Inspect cars using GPQMS Audit App, specialized camera, and/or check sheets. Properly document results of the inspection and take pictures of non-conforming items and remain truthful when recording results of inspections. Alert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns immediately. Provide feedback to resolve compliance issues.

Audit employee compliance with standardized processes, procedures, bulletins, and work instructions

Assist with creating and monitoring corrective actions and countermeasure Provide input on how to correct known issues within various departments

Secondary

Assist with the development of audit strategies

Assist with training of new staff on quality inspections. Assist with development and implementation of audit strategies, audit related policies and procedures.

Communicate the status of unresolved quality issues

Alert Supervisor/Manager of quality concerns that are found during inspection process immediately. Notify Supervisor/Manager if units flagged for defects are not repaired in a timely manner.

Tertiary

Other duties as assigned

This position is required to fill in where needed, including, but not limited to, all Tier 1 & 2 positions.

Qualifications

Skills

Education & Experience

1 year of Quality Control/Inspection experience preferred Must have Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements

Stand/Walk Bend/Stoop Push/Pull Squat Reach Lift/Carry up to 10lbs

Working and Environmental Conditions

This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting.
