Description DUTIES AND TASKS:  Provide phone coverage and walk-in support for members and guests of the Wellness CenterResolve member/guest issues in a courteous, respectful mannerOperate Fusion facility management software as instructedReport and seek corrective measures to problems involving facilities and services in the Wellness CenterEnsure all Wellness Center areas are clean, presentable, and safe for members and guestsDevelop a professional rapport with Saint Leo community, members, and guestsMonitor gymnasium, fitness floor, and pool to ensure a safe environmentProvide assistance/spots on equipment and weight machinesSet up sport equipment and furniture in the gymnasium for special eventsClean equipmentEnforce all building policies and proceduresEquipment room check outExecute emergency procedures when necessaryReport any incident of injury, theft, or broken equipment to the Supervisor on dutyAttend scheduled staff meetings and trainingsOther duties and responsibilities as assignedREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge: Proof of current certification of American Red Cross CPR, AED Essentials, and Standard First Aid or comparable certificationOr willing to be certified in American Red Cross CPR, AED Essentials, and Standard First Aid, prior to workingApplicants must be full time undergraduate students eligible for student employmentSkills and Abilities ReliabilityDependabilityPunctualitySelf-ConfidenceWillingness to work in multiple areas during shiftWillingness and ability to work outdoorsWillingness and ability to take chargeWilling to work 10 hours weekly including early mornings, nights, weekends, and occasional university breaksAbility to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 poundsENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are a representation of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
