Senior Structural Designer 1

Description Support and lead project team members across a wide range of technologies including power generation, mining, oil and gas, and renewables to ensure structural drawing deliverables are completed on-time and within budget.Collaborate with other design disciplines to resolve physical design clashes within the 3D model, while also reviewing the 3D model for completeness. Travel to client facilities with experienced project team members may be necessary to verify on-site physical design conditions.Produce 2D structural drawing deliverables with attention to quality, consistency, and accountability that meets or exceeds customer requirements. Qualifications We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.Education and experience:Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferredAt least 5+ years of structural design experience in the oil & gas industryCAD certificate required if non-degreedPrevious relevant experience consideredEssential skills:Proficiency in at least one major CAD software (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation).Awareness of American Concrete Institute (ACI) for foundation designAwareness of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) manual for steel designAwareness of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)Attention to detailTime managementCAD Software skills valued but not requiredProficiency with Bentley OpenBuildings Designer preferredBentley MicrostationAutodesk AutoCADAutodesk NavisworksAutodesk RevitTrimble Tekla Award-Winning Benefits At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
