If so, we want to hear from youWe are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineering Manager with expertise in React and React Native to lead our mobile and web application development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle of our consumer-facing technology, from concept to deployment for both mobile (React Native) and web (React). You will provide technical leadership across the full stack, mentor and coach developers, and ensure the team delivers high-quality, performant, and scalable applications.MANAGER, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILITIES•Lead, manage, and mentor a team of full-stack developers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment with expertise in React, React Native, and back-end technologies.•Oversee the full mobile and web application development lifecycle, including planning, requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance, with a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end considerations for both platforms (mobile and web).•Drive the technical direction for the team, defining architecture, best practices, and coding standards for both front-end (React, React Native) and back-end development.•Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA) to understand user needs and translate them into exceptional mobile and web experiences, ensuring a cohesive experience across the entire consumer-facing technology stack.•Conduct code reviews for both front-end (React, React Native) and back-end development, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring code quality is maintained.•Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in React, React Native, mobile app development, and relevant back-end technologies.•Develop and implement performance optimization strategies for both the front-end (React, React Native) and back-end of mobile and web applications.•Manage project timelines and resources effectively.•Identify and mitigate potential risks.•Track key metrics and report on team performance.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS•Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering management or a related field, with experience leading full-stack development teams.•Proven experience leading and mentoring high-performing software development teams.•In-depth knowledge of React development principles and best practices (for both web and mobile - React Native).•Strong understanding of mobile app development lifecycle and methodologies (Agile preferred).•Experience with mobile app architecture and design patterns.•Solid understanding of back-end development concepts, technologies, and APIs (, , C#, Python, Java, etc.).•Experience with building and maintaining RESTful APIs.•Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.•Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.•Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.•Passion for building high-quality and user-centric mobile and web applications.•Legally authorized to work in the US for ANY employerPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS•Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for mobile and web application development.•Experience with DevOps practices for mobile and web application development.•Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.•Experience with mobile testing frameworks (, Jest, Detox) and web testing frameworks (, Jest, Cypress).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS•Extended period of time working at a computer workstation BENEFITSSunnova offers a generous employee reward package that includes:•Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, healthcare flexible spending account, and 401(k) with employer match.•Competitive compensation & annual bonus•Paid time off, including 11 holidays and Paid Parental Leave #LI-JL1 All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.We appreciate the capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI), and we are looking to hire real people.
