Everest Evolution™ offers Property and Casualty insurance products across multiple business units, with wholesale exclusivity for various products.About the RoleWe are seeking a Vice President, West Region Manager in Evolution’s Primary Casualty department, based in either Los Angeles or San Francisco. In this role, you’ll lead the Wholesale Primary Casualty business across the West Region, taking ownership of Gross Written Premium while ensuring profitability and maintaining the integrity of the book of business. Your underwriting focus will be on General Liability and Commercial Auto lines of coverage.Since all accounts are written exclusively through the Wholesale distribution channel, your familiarity with the market and producer relationships will be essential. You’ll report directly to the Vice President and Head of E&S Primary Casualty, and you’ll be a key member of the regional leadership team.You can expect to travel throughout the Western Region, with occasional travel across the country.As a motivational leader, you’ll coach, mentor, and develop a growing team with varying levels of experience. You’ll provide strategic direction to the practice and your team by collaborating closely with senior management and functional leaders across the organization.Your Responsibilities:Manage a team of both in-office and remote underwriters in the West RegionRegularly forecast production relative to the regional planUnderwrite and accept referrals for new and renewal accounts to meet department standardsBuild and maintain a diverse and profitable book of businessDevelop and sustain productive relationships with appointed wholesale brokersCollaborate effectively with Actuarial, Claims, Loss Control, Operations, Finance, and ITStay informed about competitor strategies and capabilities, as well as broader market trendsWhat You Bring:A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field (insurance designations are a plus)10+ years of relevant casualty underwriting experience, with a proven ability to support leadership in driving a profitable portfolioDeep expertise in General Liability and Commercial Auto coverage formsStrong communication and presentation skillsExceptional interpersonal and employee development abilitiesWillingness and ability to travel up to 25%The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 annually.
