From college students and early-career engineers to project managers, corporate executives, researchers, and academic leaders, ASME's members are as diverse as the engineering community itself.ASME is seeking an Apprenticeship Coordinator to support the successful implementation and day-to-day operations of ASME’s Registered Apprenticeship and Pre-Apprenticeship Programs. Working under the direction of the Apprenticeship Program Manager, the Coordinator will assist in managing program activities, maintaining communication with apprentices, employers, and college partners, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.The MET Apprenticeship Program aims to expand registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship opportunities in advanced manufacturing, supply chain, semiconductors, nanotechnology, clean energy, and related fields. A key priority is increasing access to high-quality training and employment pathways for individuals from all backgrounds.Key Responsibilities:RAP Program CoordinationAssist with the implementation, management, and evaluation of all aspects of the RAP programs.Maintain and develop resources, including websites, toolkits, and SharePoint files.Conduct regular apprentice check-ins and regular employer checkpoints.Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).Assist with updating and tracking of DOL reports (WIPS, PIRL) Responsible for apprentice intake, data entry and assisting with compliance. Assist with the RAP application process review and cohort selection process. Program Coordination & SupportAssist in the daily coordination of RAP apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship activities and training materials.Serve as a point of contact for apprentices, college partners, and employers.Support onboarding of apprentices and employers to ensure maintenance of program records, files, and databases.Schedule and help facilitate program events, meetings, and employer visits.Communications & OutreachInitiate, develop, manage, plan, and maintain regular communication with apprentices to assess progress, identify challenges, and provide support.Assist with apprentices, employers, and partner outreach to support recruitment and engagement.Contribute to the development and distribution of program resources, newsletters, and updates.Promote outreach and retention efforts to ensure a quality cohort of apprentices/pre-apprentices is selected that meets industry needs.Respond to email and social media inquiries promptlyData & ReportingCollect and track program data for all reporting needs.Assist in the preparation of reports and summaries on program status, participant progress, and outcomes.Support the Apprenticeship Program Manager in monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).Program Development and ImplementationSupport the recruitment, assessment, and enrollment of apprentices, including maintaining applicant records and communications.Assist with employer engagement activities, including scheduling meetings, gathering information, and supporting implementation of apprenticeship/pre-apprenticeship program activities.Coordinate logistics and provide administrative support for meetings with businesses, industry groups, and partners to explore new apprenticeship opportunities.Track and document program activities to ensure alignment with program goals and reporting requirements.Resource Development & ManagementAssist with maintaining program materials, toolkits, website content, and shared resources.Provide logistical support for conferences, site visits, and professional development activities.Funding and Grant OpportunitiesAssist in identifying funding and grant opportunities and developing proposals in response to solicitations from government and private funders.Collaborate with the workforce development team and the philanthropy team to attract and convert financial support for the apprenticeship/pre-apprenticeship program.Key Qualifications:Associate degree in education, workforce development, or a related field.Minimum of three years of experience in apprenticeship, education or workforce development.Proven experience cultivating employer relationships and stakeholder engagement.Preferred Qualifications:Familiar with RAPIDS, WIPS, PIRL, and grant reporting. Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.Experience with virtual event platforms such as Zoom.Familiarity with workforce development trends and best practices.Experience in nonprofit or educational program settings is a plus.Experience working in a community college setting preferred.The Program Coordinator Should Also Possess the Following Key Qualifications:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
