Food Service DirectorJob Summary:We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Food Service Director to join our team at Palms Care Center, a leading provider of sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation services, and skilled nursing care in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. As a Food Service Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the provision of high-quality food services that meet the nutritional needs of our residents. If you are a motivated and organized professional with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day operations of the food service department, including planning, budgeting, and implementing food service programsDevelop and maintain menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents, including those with special dietary requirementsSupervise and train a team of dietary staff, including cooks, servers, and dietary assistantsEnsure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and proceduresCollaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure that nutritional needs are met and adjusted as neededConduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food is prepared and served in a safe and clean environmentImplement and maintain a cleanliness and sanitation program for the food service departmentMonitor and manage food and supply budgets to ensure efficiency and cost-effectivenessRequirements:2+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare settingStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of peopleAbility to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive informationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisionsKnowledge of food service regulations and standards, including OSHA and JCAHOWhy Join Our Team:At Palms Care Center, we are committed to setting standards in skilled nursing care and providing a supportive and respectful environment for our residents and staff.
