Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Share Share Email Tweet Share ColonialWebb is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair of medium to large complex manufacturing equipment and associated control systems. This Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment and preventative maintenance (pm) records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and facilities management, with a solid understanding of MEP. Environment: Fabrication Shop.  A day in the life: Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components Troubleshoot and repair motors, gears, and mechanical assemblies Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Obtain purchase orders and make small purchases required during the performance of work, including maintaining sufficient inventory; conduct inventory of all standard maintenance stock Maintain consistent compliance with company policies and procedures as they relate to proper completion of departmental documentation such as, but not limited to, time cards, work orders, maintenance logs, machine safety sheets, maintenance machine book, and material and equipment return tags Attend periodic meetings with supervisor as required to review work progress and potential problems felt to be beyond his/her ability or authority Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to improve reliability and uptime You should have: Five years experience in a maintenance role with machinery and equipment Hands on experience maintaining coil lines, plasma tables, brakes, robotics, waterjets, and other shop type machinery Experience with improving pm programs a plus Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems Understanding of mechanical systems (gears, belts, motors), and the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy Ability to coordinate and perform multiple activities in a timely manner Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, but remain calm when handling emergencies Possess knowledge of OSHA safety regulations Who we are: At ColonialWebb, we are deeply committed to our people, our culture, and the continued growth of our business.
