Position SummaryAs the Aquatics Head Swim Team Coach, you must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will help our Swim Team members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. You will write and run Swim Team Group Workouts according to the season plan. You will train the Swim Team Coaches on their team. This position oversees the registering of new participants for the Team and maintains the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities. Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreates an educational and safe experience for all participantsInitiates and maintains positive relationships with participantsResponds to member questions regarding Life Time's programs, policies and proceduresProvides a safe, clean and organized pool areaPromotes and sells all Aquatics programs and servicesActs as the liaison between the Aquatics Department Head, USA Swimming, Swim Coaches and ParentsParticipates in weekly 1 on 1 meetings with the Aquatics ManagerWrites the season plan and workout templates for each seasonEnters the swimmers into the swim meet program​​Position RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED2 years of swim coaching experienceMember of ASCA and USA SwimmingSafety Training for Swim Coaches certificationComplete LTU Safety Training before first shiftComplete all LTU courses within first 60 days of hireCPR/AED certification requiredLifeguard Certification within 60 days of hireMust complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education.Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of timeAbility to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and servicesAbility to swim 25 yards/meters without stoppingAbility to routinely bend to raise 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to raise more than 20lbs​​​ Preferred RequirementsBachelor's Degree in a related fieldSwim lesson instruction experience1 year of customer service experienceASCA Level 2 Certification or higherRed Cross Lifeguard and First AidPayThis is an hourly position with wages starting at $17.75 and pays up to $24.00, based on experience and qualifications.BenefitsAll team members receive the following benefits while working for Life Time:A fully subsidized membershipDiscounts on Life Time products and services(k) retirement savings plan with company discretionary match (21 years of age and older)Training and professional developmentPaid sick leave where required by lawFull-time Team Members are eligible for additional benefits, including:Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage Short term and long term disability insuranceLife insurancePre-tax flexible spending and dependent care plansParental leave and adoption assistancePaid time off, including 5 to 20 vacation days per calendar year (based on tenure) and paid sick leaveDeferred compensation plan, if the team member meets the required income thresholdLife Time is a place for everyone.
