Duties, Responsibilities & Other KCI is seeking a motivated student for a Planner Internship to join our team for Summer 2026. Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor, are required to attend planned activities, and must submit mid-summer and end-of-summer reports/presentations. Responsibilities include:• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring projects meet ISO compliance requirements.• Strive to achieve or exceed the budgeted individual utilization target, typically set at 85%.• Attend bi-weekly or more frequent meetings with project teams to discuss progress and address any issues.• Complete all assigned tasks on time, within budget, and in accordance with the project scope.• Operate within specified corporate or project budget parameters.• Assist with the preparation of preliminary site plans, including base sheets, and submit them for approval.• Conduct site visits to gather necessary data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs.• Draft accurate and visually appealing report graphics.• Compile and draft research summaries to support project development.• Draft schematic land use and landscape/wetland mitigation plans.• Obtain research materials from federal, state, and local agencies as required.• Plot the location of project sites and utilities, including property deeds from descriptions.• Complete other duties as required or assigned.* Essential Duties and Responsibilities are the basic job functions that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation.
