Description Position SummaryThe Sr. Software Engineer primarily contributes to the activities of development staff that perform technical systems analysis, design, development, and maintenance activities in support of business systems. The individual possesses technical and business knowledge and skills in information management techniques, structured system development methodologies, and software development tools.Essential Job FunctionsAssist in the services and activities of development staff assigned to the teamContribute to all design work and provide solution conceptual design to projects based on architecture standards, guidelines, and usage patterns ensuring security, scalability, and supportabilityPerform quality control functions as it relates to development work to ensure that the work product meets and exceeds established business standards and practicesCollaborate and coordinate with the development staff and the business analytic or project management staffDemonstrate and maintain knowledge in utilizing programming tools and techniquesPerform other duties as assignedPosition RequirementsFour or more years of industry-standard systems analysis techniques including data modeling, process modeling, data flow diagramming, information engineering, Unified Modeling Language UML, Rational Unified Process (RUP), business process reengineering (BPR), and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI)Experience with object-oriented programming (Java, .Net)Solid understanding of application frameworks and system integration methods.Excellent written and oral communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS ProjectCandidate must be able to work independently on assigned projects Strong problem-solving and analytical skills requiredExperience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Demonstrate company core values of excellence, ownership, collaboration, and integrity.PreferredBS/BA degree in a related technical discipline or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experienceWorked with Oracle RDBMS 10g,11g, and SQL Server 2005, 2008.SQL development experienceDatabase design experience including knowledge of data normalization, referential integrity, indexing, and database sizing.Credit One Bank, N.A. is a data-driven financial services company based in Las Vegas.
