Position Information Job Summary The On-Call Sciences Clerk will support the Sciences office staff. Duties include greeting visitors, data entry, answering phones, and other duties as assigned. The hours for this position may vary within a regular Monday-Friday weekly schedule and requires the ability to work both on-campus and remotely, as needed.

Job Duties Required Qualifications Associate degree in related area. Five (5) years of office experience with understanding of office technology (i.e. phone systems, copiers/printers). Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented. Ability to work independently. Conscientious and reliable. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective and current employees, and groups of managers. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Office Environment: This role may involve being in a stationary position in front of a computer, using a keyboard, mouse (or applicable equipment) and telephone.
