Gen Ed Teacher

An Intervention Teacher position is available in Burnsville, MN, serving middle school students in grades 3-8. This role focuses on providing targeted, small-group or one-on-one instruction in core subjects, primarily Math and English. The goal is to support students who are struggling academically by using data-driven strategies within a multi-tiered system of supports to help them bridge gaps and progress toward grade level. Students receiving intervention may eventually rejoin their regular general education classes.Key Responsibilities:Deliver focused instruction to students needing extra support in Math and English.Utilize assessment data, including Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA), to inform instructional strategies.Collaborate closely with general education and special education teachers to coordinate student learning plans.Monitor student progress and adjust intervention techniques accordingly.Maintain documentation of intervention services and student outcomes.Qualifications:Valid Minnesota Teaching License authorizing instruction in Math and English for grades 3-8.Familiarity with Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA).Experience working within a multi-tiered support system.Ability to collaborate effectively with both general and special education staff.Preferred: Minimum of 2 years recent teaching experience.Location: Burnsville, MN (Middle School setting)Position Type: Contract (Current School Year)Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision health insurance options.401(k) retirement plan available through Principal Financial.Competitive hourly pay within the $38 to $42 range.If you meet these qualifications and are passionate about helping students succeed academically, consider applying for this impactful teaching opportunity.
