Our ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience. As we are a 24-hour emergency hospital please be willing to work outside of the boring 9am-5pm weekday schedule. We prefer someone with at least two years of experience working as a technician in an emergency veterinary hospital.Responsibilities include:Mentoring emergency paraprofessional staffOnboarding and training of new and current staffAssisting managment team with implementing SOPs for emergency paraprofessional staffAssisting management team in daily floor responsibilities and coverage, proactively planning for the dayMaintaining communication with the management team and assisting with employee oversightProvide nursing care to hospitalized patients and medical care to outpatientsSuccessfully use all in house laboratory equipment to provide accurate resultsSafely and effectively take digital radiographsBe able to calculate drug dosagesGiving medications via all prescribed routes: PO, SC, IM, IVProficiency with catheterization (venous, urinary)Possess or develop advanced emergency skillsComfortable with all aspects of emergency medicineEffectively care for and communicate with clientsBenefits:We are committed to your well-being and offer a comprehensive compensation package.
