We take pride in craftsmanship, safety, accuracy, and teamwork.Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Folder Operator to safely and accurately operate sheet-metal folding equipment to form precision metal parts used in production. The ideal candidate has experience in metal fabrication, strong mechanical aptitude, and enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment.Key Responsibilities• Set up and operate sheet-metal folding equipment to bend and form material to specification• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders• Select proper tooling based on bend requirements, material type, and gauge• Inspect completed parts for accuracy, quality, and cosmetic appearance• Adjust machine settings to ensure consistency and part accuracy• Perform basic preventative maintenance and report issues when necessary• Maintain a clean and organized work area• Follow all safety rules, SOPs, and work instructions• Support production needs and perform additional duties as assignedQualificationsRequired• High school diploma or equivalent• Experience operating metal folding equipment or related fabrication machinery• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings• Proficient with measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)• Ability to perform basic math and conversions• Able to follow directions and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment• Strong attention to detail and qualityPreferred• CNC folder experience• Previous metal fabrication or manufacturing experiencePhysical Requirements• Prolonged standing• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting• Ability to lift up to 50 poundsWhy Join Schaefer's?• Stable, growing company with strong local roots• Team-oriented culture• Ongoing training & development• Competitive pay and benefitsEqual Opportunity EmployerSchaefer's Electrical Enclosures is an equal opportunity employer.
