Per Diem Breast PathologistDepartment of PathologyBeth Israel Deaconess Medical CenterHarvard Medical School, BostonThe Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is recruiting a Per-Diem academic surgical pathologist with subspecialty expertise in breast pathology. BIDMC is a tertiary care facility with 743 licensed beds and an internationally renowned principal teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School with NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center-affiliated Cancer Center.The BIDMC Department of Pathology has launched new strategic initiatives in cutting-edge Precision Diagnostics (including cancer genomics, multiplex biomarker theranostics, and computational/digital pathology). In addition, the department will be engaged in the newly announced and exciting clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only free-standing adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration would bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer.The successful candidate will join a team of faculty, residents, and fellows to provide world-class diagnostics at BIDMC. Additionally, the candidate will support the vibrant training programs, including pathology residency program, and surgical pathology fellowship programs.Applicants must be board certified in Pathology (AP or AP/CP) and must either hold, or be eligible for, a license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Who We Are:Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a 743-bed hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center, is a founding member of Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH).
