You will set technical direction, manage multidisciplinary coordination, oversee staff, and serve as the primary engineering liaison to clients and project partners.You'll apply deep technical expertise to create sustainable, efficient systems - including performing LEED energy modeling and life-cycle cost analysis - and will help shape firmwide engineering standards and mentor the next generation of talent.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee full mechanical/HVAC engineering design on multiple projectsProvide a high level of technical leadership, quality review, and problem-solvingPerform LEED energy modeling, life-cycle cost analysis, and sustainable design evaluationsRepresent SHP with clients, contractors, architects, and consultantsPrepare and oversee reports, specifications, and final engineering deliverablesEstablish project budgets, schedules, and staffing plans; ensure projects meet goalsSupervise and mentor engineering staff; support development of team capabilitiesContribute to business development, proposals, and strategic planningKey RequirementsEducation & CredentialsBachelor's degree in Engineering8–10+ years of A/E consulting experiencePE licensure requiredLEED accreditation preferredSkills & ExperienceExpert-level proficiency in HVAC system design and Revit workflowsStrong communication and client-facing skillsProven ability to manage people, processes, and multiple project deadlinesAdvanced capability in solving complex technical and design challengesCollaborative mindset with strong multidisciplinary coordination skillsLocation & Travel ExpectationsThis role is based in one of our physical office locations-Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; or Greensboro, NC-and is ideal for candidates who thrive in a highly collaborative, in person environment.
