The Building People, LLC, is seeking a candidate to perform human resources administrative work for the Department of Energy's Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE) office. The Human Resources Assistant will perform human resources-related administrative work both under general supervision and independently.  Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:  Supporting human resources (HR) functions such as: recruitment, classification review, compensation studies, employment analysis, and leave and benefits administration.  Collecting and analyzing data.  Tracking trends and developments in assigned functional areas.  Conducting studies, perform research, and prepare reports.  Reviewing, interpreting, and recommending policies.  Participating in working groups, councils, and committees.  Ensuring compliance with DOE HR-related rules and regulations. Required Experience & Skills Bachelor’s degree from in an accredited university and 8 years of experience OR high school diploma and 12 years of experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2010 or better  Professional attitude  Excellent written and oral communication skills  Ability to competently deal with rapidly changing priorities and requirements  Ability to perform sensitive tasks that require discretion and tact Required Education Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree from in an accredited university and 8 years of experience OR high school diploma and 12 years of experience Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree *Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government. *Please note that telework arrangements are subject to change based on customer requirements.
