Controls Engineer

Selectek is seeking a qualified Controls Engineer for a full-time role with one of our clients in Minneapolis, MN. Employment Type: Direct Hire Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota Expected Pay Range: $70,000 - $130,00 annual salary. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p. Job Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a project engineer role or similar, including design, implementation, and project closeout 2-year electrical engineering degree or equivalent experience considered in lieu of a degree Proficiency in electrical CAD software Familiar with wire sizing, conduit routing and/or panel boards and instrumentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, management, and clients Strong multitasking abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a willingness to quickly learn about new technologies In addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation. Job Duties: Read and interpret contract plans and specifications to create project electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Develop control narratives for the proper operation of the control system Provide design-related support to the control panel shop during the manufacturing process Offer exceptional service and support to customers during construction and post-commissioning activities Diagnose errors in specifications or technical problems and determine appropriate solutions Produce accurate and timely electrical CAD drawings Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) for required parts Follow all company procedures and protocols, collaborating with technical teams and sharing information across the organization For more information on this position or other openings around the southeast, call Joey Fairbanks with Selectek at 470.203.9530.
