Posting Details Position Information Job Title Adjunct Culinary Arts Instructor Location Lake County Campus - Clear Lake, CA Job Description BASIC FUNCTION:• Develop and deliver instructional lectures for culinary arts courses up to 10 hours/week• Organize and teach all levels of culinary classes• Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning;• Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses;• Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester;• Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired Essential Duties Summary REQUIRED DUTIES:Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Required Qualifications The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors:• Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR• Any bachelor’s degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field OR• The equivalent OR• Possess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area.• Possession of a ServSafe® Food Handler, Manager, and Responsible Alcohol Certification• Experience working in an environment that focuses on hospitality and customer serviceEQUIVALENCY: Applicants must meet YCCD minimum qualifications by the filing date or have been awarded equivalency by the District prior to the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
