Job Details Description OBS Smoked & Distribution in Helena is looking to hire a food service salesperson This is a full-time position. We value our customers and need your excellent sales skills to promote our seafood products Our focus is getting high quality product and sustainable seafood to our restaurants and retailers. If you do not have seafood experience, we will consider candidates with a perishable or protein sales background. Pay starting at $19.00 - $21.00 per hour DOE plus commissions. You can be a part of the growthAs a sales representative, you will be out in the field most of the time working closely with chefs in the culinary community promoting seafood product, offering center of the plate suggestions to restaurants offering fresh and frozen product, as well as your seafood knowledge. You will be responsible for maintaining account information and building long-term relationships with customers ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Spend 75% of work week in the field building business and rapport with customers taking orders Move as many customers as possible to Blue Cart (On-Line Ordering System). Visit Key Account locations on a regular basis. Plan each week with the General Manager and review each Monday Establish new accounts on a pace of three (2) per month minimum Stay on pace per budget and year over year Gross Profit $. Assist other sales team members in coverage of their territories as assigned Work with Buyers, Vendors, to secure and write contracted buys with Key Accounts Perform cuttings on a regular basis with customers Build a prospect list of key targets and plan with the General Manager weekly and monthly on strategy Sell OB label items to every account Track mileage and other expenses weekly REQUIREMENTS: Passion for food and people is a must Strong Computer skills Good Listening and communication skills Knowledge of fresh and frozen seafood, Sushi Products, shellfish, crustaceans, as well as accompanying dry, jarred, and packaged goods Team Player Excellent customer service skills Desire to succeed in the seafood industry BENEFITS: Paid Time Off Medical/dental/vision/life insurance Wellness Program 401(k) with contributions from the Company Opportunity to buy our wonderful seafood at a great price Company laptop and cell phone along with mileage reimbursement Opportunity for growth... the sky is the limit We are a dynamic company that is over a century old Our reputation, fine seafood products, and great service are our strengths that we desire to continue with your help Bring your sales experience and take off the ground running offering customers what they deserve - quality product that meets their expectations.
