Food Service WorkerEntry level food service position, full or part timeHourly The Food Service Worker is an essential position in our food service department that is responsible for providing our guests with quality food products. The FSW will be preparing sandwiches and other items to order and in bulk. You will also greet guests and answer any questions they may have about our menu. This position requires a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and will require learning and maintaining proper food safety procedures. The FSW will prepare food to our standardized recipes and in accordance with the guest's order and assist the Kitchen Supervisor with our salad bar operationReview, prepare, and serve fresh food items in a timely mannerExecute daily line checks to ensure proper temperatures and quality are being upheldFollow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredientsPresent, garnish and arrange final dishesServe food as well as maintain our standards for our salad bar operationPrepare food items and condimentsMaintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishesMaintain food safety and sanitation standards for handling, preparing, and storing ingredients Review inventory and expiration datesCleans work areas, equipment, pans, and utensilsAnswer questions from guest and staff regarding menu itemsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications and Education RequirementsFull knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety and security proceduresFull knowledge menu items and presentationsDemonstrate excellent listening skillsExcellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to assist guests, fellow team members and managementStrong skills in time management and organization, with excellent attention to detailAbility to read and take direction and execute objectives with an attitude of courtesy and cooperationMath skills to complete recipes and par work sheets accuratelyAnalytical skills and a degree of emotional intelligence to recognize and solve problems Ability to maintain a high degree of pace and intensity for an extended period of timeMust be reliable and dependable by being punctual, adhering to a scheduleMaintain positive working relationships with all Team Members and ManagersThe physical ability to stand, use hands, stoop, kneel or crouch, and lift, pull and push up to 50 poundsServSafe certification desired, but may be obtained after hirePI7b183bc5f571-30511-38820323
