Accurately applies department procedures for purchasing, storage, preparation, dispensing, transcription, delivery, and crediting medications. Accurately applies department procedures to manufacturing, packaging, and labeling of drug products. Accurately applies knowledge of medical terms, abbreviations and symbols commonly used in prescribing, dispensing and record keeping of medications. Accurately applies understanding of identification of drugs, drug dosages, routes of administration, dosage forms and storage requirements. Accurately performs basic math calculations. Communicates to the purchasing agent unexpected low inventory levels in a timely manner. Completes hospital competency testing on time. Completes Net Learning assignments on time. Consistently performs in accordance with department procedures for managing controlled substances. Consistently performs required documentation duties. Consistently recognizes generic/brand name recognition. Follows through with Pharmacist instructions. Keeps working areas clean and orderly. Performs automatic dispensing cabinets inventory functions accurately as assigned in a time manner. Prepares unit-dose packages from bulk stock in accordance with departmental procedures. Promptly answers telephone calls using hospital scripting protocol. Provides telephone inquirers with timely information about storage, purchasing, preparation, transcription, dispensing, delivery and return question.
