TemPositions - Our client, a non-profit organization, is seeking an OPWDD approved investigator. This full-time, non-exempt role includes on-call responsibilities and is eligible for overtime pay. Reporting to the Incident Management Coordinator, the Specialist plays a critical role in overseeing the safety and welfare of the individuals supported by the organization, specifically addressing allegations of neglect, abuse, financial exploitation, and errors in care. Key Responsibilities The OPWDD approved investigator ensures the organization remains compliant with state and federal regulations while protecting the rights of those served. Investigation Management: Conducts investigations into incidents and allegations of abuse according to Part 624 and Part 625 regulations. Handles investigations related to Corporate Compliance, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA laws. Assists in facilitating the timely implementation of corrective action plans. Documentation & Reporting: Supports the Incident Management Coordinator with reporting and training for investigations handled internally or by state agencies. Inputs and monitors updates in state incident management systems (IRMA, RIA, WSIR). Gathers and prepares data for incident trending and compliance monitoring. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Monitors programs to ensure they conform to internal policies and governmental regulations. Performs targeted audits and assists in developing Plans of Correction. Identifies and reports compliance risks to executive leadership as appropriate. Candidate Qualifications Education: High School diploma required; an Associate’s degree in human or social services is preferred. Certification: OPWDD approved investigator. Experience: At least 2 years of experience conducting and completing Part 624 and Part 625 investigations. A minimum of 2 years in compliance, quality improvement, or program review. A minimum of 3 years of experience with OPWDD systems, specifically WSIR and IRMA. Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate various software systems. Physical Requirements & Environment This role operates in a professional office environment. Candidates must be able to perform general office duties, which include: Using standard office equipment. Lifting, pushing, and pulling to manage files. Bending, standing, and opening filing cabinets as necessary.
