Responsibilities include up to and not limited to:Perform application engineering work and set priorities with knowledge of company goalsPerform project management duties for the team as neededDesign and fabricate fixtures/ work holding for demo’s, test cuts, and turnkeysEngineer, execute and trouble shoot complex manufacturing and machining processes utilizing DMG MORI processes, systems and knowledge centersManage complex and cross departmental engineering projects to ensure all customer deliverables are metConduct time estimates for customer parts with 10% toleranceUse CAPPS conversational programming, industry standard CAM systems, and direct G-Code/ Macro programming to generate CNC programs for parts processingSetup CNC machines with program, tooling, workpiece, and fixtures including 5-axis and mill-turnInspection of finished parts for quality and accuracyGenerate engineering proposals for process and turnkey applications including automation and high production environmentsGenerate order intake actively consulting customers on their technical needs together with ASMTrain customers on equipment after installationMentor junior engineering colleaguesOther Duties as assigned.Requirements:BS Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field preferred, and/or machining knowledge8+ years related experienceKnowledge in part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, reading drawings, and machine setupBasic understanding of MetallurgyAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlinesProven experience to communicate professionally with internal and external customersProven flexibility with shifting prioritiesProficiency in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointProven organizational skills, with high attention to detailStrong analytical/problem solving abilitiesFrequent communication with internal technical staff, external customers, and external suppliers Work Environment:Exposure to manufacturing/machining environments which may present possible hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery. General office environment experienced at DMG MORI office. Physical Demands:Frequent: Travel, operating a vehicle, standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, sitting and reaching. Pushing, pulling, and lifting objects. Repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements.Periodic: Operating power equipment, sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones.Occasional: Lifting or moving up to 50lbs. #ZR
